(CNN)--global health organizations plan to launch a massive polio vaccination in three West African Nations, after an outbreak of fast and particularly virulent already killed 97 people.

Since the first confirmation of poliomyelitis 4 November in the Democratic Republic of Congo, at least 226 people have been diagnosed with acute pladaroi paralysis--usually a condition associated with polio--according to the United Nations.
